GOOD NEIGHBORS & C0.

Good Neighbors & Co. (GN&Co.) is a community and housing renewal effort operated by local non-profit Building Hope in the City. It brings people of faith together with businesses, which exist to bless others, through affordable rental properties and resident-driven neighborhood improvement initiatives in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton and Stockyards neighborhoods. The purpose, however, is much bigger than housing. GN&Co. believes restoration to the lives of individuals and families begins by first addressing and stabilizing their need for housing.

OUR WHY

Our why is simple. Because we believe good, affordable, supportive housing (a home) can change a life, a family, a block and a whole community

OUR APPROACH

Our approach to housing and community development is simple, clear and based on decades of investment and experience in urban communities:

Redevelop blighted and foreclosed residential properties, restoring them to productive use.
We’re bringing people of good faith and good will to the table in new ways in urban communities by creating affordable rentals as a responsible and responsive landlord and community partner.   We plan to restore at least 60 foreclosed residential properties to usefulness by 2029.

Unleash capability and hope in people and neighbors who can sustain redeveloped housing and lead their communities forward.
BHITC and its partnering local nonprofits and area churches to journey with our tenants and homeowners for the long haul to help them achieve their dreams.  Workforce development, spiritual and vocational support, and faith-centric community development efforts drive these efforts.

Point our city to Jesus and His ability to transform hearts and lives eternally.
How we engage tenants, employees, neighbors, as well as systems of education, government and business gives a witness to God as the Restorer and Reconciler of all things.
